Whad’Ya Know?
…not much, you?
Last week, as I was getting ready to go to class, I got a call from the producer of “Whad’Ya Know? with Michael Feldman.” If you’ve never heard of that show, then you’re really missing out. It’s a nationally syndicated live show, broadcast on Saturday mornings on public radio. They have special guests, The Quiz, live music and various other features. Anyway, the producer asked me if I would like to be on the show. It came as such a surprise and I was so thrilled that I’m amazed I was able to come up with an intelligible reply. But I did, and I was on the show, and I had a lot of fun.
If you missed it, you can point your web browser to the archive and listen to the show for December 6, 2003. I’m in the third part, and you’ll need Real Player to listen.

heya jon,
this is lindsay (i don’t know if you remember me, but i guess i’m some sort of cousin? cartier family reunions, and such).
my dad sent me the email about your south pole trip…it sounds pretty awesome! i’m listening to the michael feldman show right now, good times.
i actually declared my major as physics early last spring, so this is super interesting for me!
(hahha, listening to the his comments about muons is really funny)
what will you be doing with project icecube?
my modern physics professor’s research is conducted at fermilab…and she’s passed on much of her enthusiasm for high energy particle physics onto me.
i’m applying for some programs for the summer:
SULI at SLAC and JLab, LIGO, and then a few different REUs: harvard, university of maryland, nc state…so we’ll see what happens! there’s also a fusion energy REU at princeton that i’m interested in.
i’ll definitely be reading to hear how stuff is going…shoot me an email sometime!
