Notes from Christmas eve
Christmas Eve is a good day to avoid working. So I did. I woke up too late for brunch, so I went back to sleep. Then I got up for Christmas dinner. We started off with hor’douvres. There was Eggnog, salmon, shrimp, a variety of cheeses, veggies, and I’m sure some other stuff. Then we went in for dinner.
Before we ate, there were some words of thanks, and toasting the cooks, the wine stewards (who were never far away *hicup*), and eachother. Dinner was Beef Wellington (amazing!), crab legs (I didn’t try them, but heard they were good), cooked vegetables, asparagus (a popular vegetable around here), fresh dinner rolls and mashed potatoes. It was all very good. After dinner, the stewards brought around a plethora of pies and lots of fresh made candies. They really went all out on dinner. We even had tablecloths.
After dinner I took my daily trip to monitor the tanks over quickly and went to the Christmas part at the bar. That was fun, but a little loud and smokey for my taste, so I left to hang out with some of the other AMANDA/IceCube people down here. Now I’m listening to some music and reading a book that my older sister, Sara, gave me to read.
Merry Christmas!

I’m dreaming of a white Christmas…Enjoy your whitest Christmas ever Jon! Sounds like your Christmas Eve dinner was very special. That is the same menu I have planned for tonight but I haven’t lined up the wine steward yet. Have a great Christmas day my sweet boy!
